Being Rapid is not a differentiator, it’s a given.
An attitude, and a way of life.

Innovation hasn’t been democratized – that vision is yet to come true, primarily because the technologies for innovation are still inaccessible, arduous, and expensive for a majority. Innovation is never mere improvements, but always a step change, through technologies that are also Rapid.

We challenge the status quo by bringing disruption in the application world, catapulting everyone – from enterprises to masses – to the path of smart, agile, and disruptive application development using Neutrinos. This multi-faceted platform allows development of applications rapidly across Mobile, Web, IoT with social and cognitive features – making Rapid obsolete.

who-we-are

Mantra

Democratize innovation in application development, Rapidly.

Brand Story

In particle physics, neutrinos are neutral subatomic particles with a mass close to zero. They are considered to be absolutely Rapid – arguably travelling faster than light, challenging the fundamentals of relativity.

Inspired by this very spirit, the Neutrinos platform has evolved as a close to ‘zero-code’ platform in developing innovative applications – arguably faster than any conventional method, challenging the status quo.

Winds of Change Initiative by Neutrinos

Currently, there is a massive skills shortage in the ICT sector, and although the ICT sector is one of South Africa’s top employers, the demand for skilled workers is not being met. According to an article onBusiness Tech, the demand for IT skills is about 27% while the supply is only at about 7%!

When CEO, Samik Ghosh, founded Neutrinos he had a vision of building an application development platform that anyone who wanted to build an app could use – from the most unskilled person to someone with years of development and coding skills. He wanted to make a difference in people’s lives. And so, the Neutrinos application development platform was born.

The platform was a success with bigger enterprises and Neutrinos decided to move down the ecosystem pyramid to the ‘lower’ level players such as university students. However, they quickly realised that university students were still privileged and they wanted to help those who didn’t have the opportunities others had. And so, with this belief, Sunil Savara, Rajesh Bhat, Madan Padaki and Samik Ghosh started a foundation in India that seeks to eradicate poverty by empowering people with skills such as coding. As with any other life-changing initiative, it couldn’t stay in one country. Too many people need help, and so, Samik met with Dayanand Virasamy (Executive Director – South Africa) to start Winds of Change in South Africa.

Winds of Change is a Corporate Social Investment Initiative that aims to eradicate poverty through education. But every new initiative needs a pilot run and proof of concept to start off, and Tukiso Mateka is the pilot candidate every initiative dreams of. When Samik and Dayanand first reached out to their network to find their pilot candidate, they were referred to Tukiso who had a dream of developing his app to help students like him who couldn’t afford to study.
Tukiso was working as an UBER driver to sustain him and his family, he had barely completed his matric, and he was living in dire circumstances. But he had three things the Winds of Change team were looking for – His matric, a hunger and passion for app development, and a never-say-die attitude. And so, they decided to take him on as an intern. In the short three months that Tukiso has been an intern at Neutrinos and Winds of Change, he has gone from being barely qualified to developing an app in 45 minutes! Winds of Change has also provided him with a safe place to stay, a laptop, a car that he can use as he needs it, employment and a chance to turn his life around.

Tukiso says the following about his experience, “I never thought I’d be in this place and now I’m here. I didn’t have the chance to study due to funds, but I decided to teach myself a few skills through Google, and I marketed myself through the UBER platform. Now I am designing an app that can help others like me who do not have access to funds to study.

“I didn’t take my background as a disadvantage to my future. I was always learning something new, and as soon I got the chance, I used the platform of Google to learn. I didn’t just sit there and wait.

“My goal is to work really hard for Neutrinos and Winds of Change and be one of their best employees in two or three years and raise up others like me.”
